Pixel slot fit tests

  1. Great start. some questions:
    - how was it to cut the pieces? were they vibrating as you cut them (causing innacuracies)? did you hold them down some how?
    - did you try to path a full array of pieces and see how long it took?

  2. The pieces cut fine even with the questionably sharp endmill we used. The board wasn't vibrating too much (the span between screws was about 14" probably) although the last pass was a little rough around the edges when the pieces popped out before being cut through entirely. This was my fault since I overlooked one thing and therefore didn't space the depth cuts well, it should be better next time: set the absolute depth to -.27 and max stepdown to .125.

    We pathed out a tenth of the project (88 pixels), both for the pieces and the board, and it returned i think ~6 hrs if I remember right? But that was assuming a .25" slot so it will take much longer with the .24" slots. I'm thinking we get a 15/64" bit.
