our main idea was to use an image that could be reversed, just by moving the light. unfortunately, most figure-ground type images are too complex for this pixellation and we had to settle on a very basic icon.
the first rendering was done by running the script with the original image (white background).
the second rendering was done after moving the light to the other side of the matrix... which nearly replicates the photoshop inverted image (black background)
